     The American Heritage Dictionary

It was certainly not by happenstance that this young woman named Charis embodied kharisma throughout her short, but abounding life; a divine gift to all who knew and loved her.

These pages are dedicated not only to her memory, but to the lovers of true poetry everywhere among the living.

Charis's works are reproduced herein by permission of William H. Southwell, who holds exclusive copyright to the Collected Poems of Charis Southwell.
